Magical Trap

When approached, the statue launches into a 5 minute long, boring speech.

If any of the targets walk away, or somehow cause the speech to end, all targets within 30′ of the statue must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be subject to a special delayed hearing effect for next hour. Affected targets hear their speech about a second after speaking. This causes disadvantage on any speech based ability checks. For spell casting that requires speech, the caster must make an ability check using their spellcasting ability, or the spell does not work when cast. The DC of this check is 10+spell level.

An aura of enchantment can be detected on the statue with detect magic or a successful DC 12 Intelligence (Arcana) check.

Dispel magic or a successful DC 14 Intelligence (Arcana) check removes the enchantment effect.
