Player Piano

A piano lies along the wall.

Magical Trap

The piano plays when combat starts, and causes slowing effects as it plays out a slowly moving dirge.

When combat occurs in the room, the piano begins to play. All creatures in the room must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw, or the beat affects their movements and actions.

Creatures that fail the saving throw may not take the Dash or Disengage action. Attacks and Dexterity saves are at disadvantage, and creatures attacking have advantage.

This effect lasts for 4d4+4 rounds and then the music and effects stop. It takes 1 hour to reset the piano trap.

A spell such as Detect Magic detects an aura of enchantment on the piano.

A spell such as Dispel Magic permanently disables the trap and breaks the strings on the piano. Any effect that suppresses magic stop the trap from activating. Any active effects are also suppressed for duration of the effect.
