Chandelier

A bright chandelier hangs from the ceiling. It is almost the size of the ceiling itself.

Magical Trap

The chandelier is 15 feet off the ground. When a creature passes under it a lightning bolt grabs the creature and lifts it off the ground with a shock, and then drops them.

When a creature passes underneath the chandelier, a lightning bolt arcs outwards. The creature must make a DC 10 Strength check or take 1d8 lightning damage and is pulled 10 feet up in the air towards the chandelier and dropped, The drop causes 1d6 falling damage. A creature cannot be attacked more than once per entry into the room.

A spell or other effect that can sense the presence of magic, such as Detect Magic, reveals an aura of evocation on the chandelier.

A spell such as Dispel Magic cast onto the chandelier causes the chandelier to go out, plunging the room into darkness and permanently disables the lightning attack. Any effect that suppresses magic causes the chandelier to go out for the duration of the effect as well as suppressing the lightning attack.
