Deadly Timepiece

Here is another installment of exTRAPaganza, our Thursday over-the-top trap series. 

A clock is in this room and has stopped functioning. If it is activated, the person activated it gets the ability to determine the condition of creatures within 30 ft. as per the deathwatch spell. However, every hour, on the hour, the target’s hit points become equal to the hour (1-12). This effect goes away when the clock stops again, 1d6+5 days later.
